A report in Spain says that Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is hoping to secure a move to Barcelona.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reportedly told friends that he would like to join Barcelona this summer.

The Argentine international, who has previously been linked with Real Madrid, appeared to have put an end to speculation in May by signing a one-year contract extension at the Etihad Stadium.

However, the 25-year-old has informed people close to him that a switch to Camp Nou is something that would strongly interest him, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.

The publication went on to add that it is a transfer that Barca would be keen to sanction. Aguero, who scored 17 goals last season, would cost around £30m.
