Lee Clark thanks David Moyes following Federico Macheda's double

Lee Clark thanks David Moyes for giving him a helping hand in the loan window, after a Federico Macheda brace fired Birmingham City to victory over Charlton Athletic.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has dedicated his side's victory against Charlton Athletic to David Moyes.

Manchester United loanee Federico Macheda's goals either side of half time gave Brum their first victory of the year, something which Clark was quick to thank Red Devils manager Moyes for.

"I lost five players on loan on New Year's Day and had to rebuild the squad," the 41-year-old is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"It took a while and we lost three league games which knocked the stuffing out of us. Luckily I was able to recruit new players and they have done very well for us.

"We have got got a bit of a conveyor belt from Manchester United, and we thank David Moyes for helping us. I only hope they don't do so well and then they go back early."

Birmingham are 18th in the Championship table, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
