Deadline day key events
Liverpool make Quansah 'plan' as Newcastle receive £30m transfer answer

Liverpool have reportedly made a decision on the future of Jarell Quansah amid talk of Newcastle United considering a move for the centre-back this summer.
The Magpies are said to be plotting a £30m swoop for the defender ahead of the re-opening of the transfer window, having struggled for starts over Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk this season.
Quansah has turned out 22 times in all competitions for Arne Slot's side this season, but he has only started twice in the Premier League, most recently against Newcastle United in December.
The 2003-born Englishman did make the first XI for the opening game of the season against Ipswich Town too, but he was memorably hauled off at half time for Konate, who has been Van Dijk's first-choice partner since.
Club 'monitoring' Saints forward as summer exit looms ahead of likely relegation

Southampton loanee Albert Gronbaek is reported to be attracting intertest from Marseille, who are said to be willing to jump ahead of the Saints to sign the forward.
The 2024-25 season could hardly have gone worse for Southampton given the club are currently in last place in the Premier League with just nine points after 29 matchweeks.
There is a risk that boss Ivan Juric could claim the unwanted record for fewest points in a Premier League season considering his team have yet to surpass Derby County's points tally of 11 from 2007-08.
Relegation to the Championship would undoubtedly lead to the exits of several players, and while Tyler Dibling has often been mentioned in the headlines, it would not be surprising if others also left.
