Manchester United reportedly plot a swoop for £17m-rated Napoli right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo following his performances at Euro 2020.

Manchester United are supposedly preparing a £17m offer for Napoli right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

The 27-year-old has played a key role under Roberto Mancini during Italy's run to the Euro 2020 final, playing every minute of their three knockout matches so far having demoted Alessandro Florenzi down to the bench.

Di Lorenzo's performances have not gone unnoticed from clubs across the continent, and Man United are thought to be in the market for a new right-back to provide competition and backup to Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to Italian outlet Il Napolista, Di Lorenzo is keen to test himself in the Premier League, which has alerted the Red Devils to his availability.

The former Empoli man only signed a new five-year contract extension with Napoli in 2020, but the report adds that a relatively modest figure of £17m could be enough to secure his services.

Di Lorenzo has scored seven goals and assisted 15 more in 95 appearances for Napoli and is expected to start in Sunday's Euro 2020 final against England.
