Gary Neville: "Di Maria fits the bill for United"

Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria "fits the bill for Manchester United 100%", according to former Red Devils captain Gary Neville.

Gary Neville has provided a positive response to speculation that Angel di Maria is on the verge of joining his former club Manchester United.

Numerous reports this evening have claimed that the Real Madrid winger has picked United over Paris Saint-Germain, with the Premier League outfit said to be prepared to part with a club-record £50m fee to sign the 26-year-old.

The rumours prompted Neville to write on Twitter: "I know it's early and speculation but Di Maria fits the bill for United 100%."

It has been claimed that Di Maria will wear the number seven shirt at Old Trafford, should the move be finalised.
