Manchester United to rival Chelsea for Pedro?

Manchester United are reportedly interested in rivalling Chelsea for the signature of Barcelona winger Pedro, who could become the subject of £22m bids from both clubs.

Manchester United could reportedly look to rival Chelsea for the signature of Barcelona winger Pedro.

A recent report in the press stated that the Blues were keen on triggering the Spaniard's £22m release clause following the conclusion of the Catalan club's presidential elections this weekend.

According to The Mirror, it now appears as though United may also be keen on the 27-year-old, as Louis van Gaal looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new season.

Pedro has made 204 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 58 goals in the process.
