Reading to host Oman

Reading agree to play a friendly against Oman at the Madejski Stadium during September's international break.

Reading have agreed to host a friendly against Oman during next month's international break.

Nigel Adkins's men will face the Asian nation on September 7.

The match will give the Royals the opportunity to play a high-profile game during the two-week break, while also filling a 29-day gap between league fixtures at the Madejski Stadium.

Oman are managed by former Rangers boss Paul Le Guen and captained by Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.

They are ranked 95th in the FIFA World Rankings.
