Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly attempting to secure a summer deal for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez as a potential summer signing.

With Rodriguez having made just 12 appearances in all competitions this season, Real are open to parting ways with the playmaker later in 2020.

While Arsenal and Everton have been linked with the 28-year-old in the past, El Desmarque claims that Wolves are attempting to wrap up a deal as soon as possible.

Although Los Blancos would prefer to recoup as much as £71m for the Colombia international, Wolves are hoping that their links with super-agent Jorge Mendes will help bring down the asking price.

As it stands, there is no prospect of Real looking to extend Rodriguez's contract past the end of next season as they look to reduce their wage bill.
