Chelsea are open to the sale of young midfielder Andrey Santos for the right price this summer, according to a report.
The 20-year-old is yet to make a name for himself at Stamford Bridge, but he has excelled for sister club Strasbourg since joining the Ligue 1 club on loan in February 2024.
Santos has conjured up eight goals and three assists in 21 appearances for Strasbourg across all competitions, including seven efforts and two assists in 19 Ligue 1 games to help propel Les Coureurs into the top half of the table.
As things stand, the 2004-born prospect will be heading back to Stamford Bridge this summer when his temporary deal with Strasbourg expires, and he remains contracted to the Blues for another five seasons.
Ten-club tussle: Man Utd, Chelsea in intense fight for Henry favourite?
![Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze pictured on April 1, 2023 Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze pictured on April 1, 2023](https://sm.imgix.net/25/06/jeaeze.jpg?w=640&h=480&auto=compress,format&fit=clip)
Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly involved in a heated transfer battle for Crystal Palace marksman Jean-Philippe Mateta ahead of the summer window.
The Frenchman recently showed Ruben Amorim's Red Devils what they are missing up front, netting a brace in a 2-0 Premier League win for the Eagles at Old Trafford last weekend.
Mateta endured a slow start to the 2024-25 season after his terrific exploits at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, but he has been going steady ever since and now has 13 goals in all competitions this season.
Ten of those efforts have come in the Premier League, where the 27-year-old has been one of the division's standout players in 2025, scoring six goals in his first five top-flight games of the new year.
Arsenal 'at risk' of Zubimendi hijack, but should Arteta be worried?

Arsenal may reportedly have to fend off competition from Real Madrid to win the race for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi this summer.
After Liverpool tried and failed to bring the Euro 2024 winner to Anfield last summer, the Gunners are allegedly poised to secure his signature in a £51m deal when the next window opens.
Zubimendi rejected the chance to join Liverpool in 2024 in favour of staying in San Sebastian, but the esteemed midfielder now seemingly feels that it is the right time to make the move to England.
Mikel Arteta is said to have been driving the effort to bring Zubimendi to the Emirates, and while nothing has been signed yet, there is a 'good chance' that he will be an Arsenal player next season.
Real Madrid told to pay world-record fee for Arsenal star?

Arsenal will reportedly demand a world-record fee for a player in that position if Real Madrid come calling for one of their star men.
The Gunners are currently preparing to spend a week away from action courtesy of their early exit from the FA Cup this season.
However, Mikel Arteta and his squad are left to focused on Premier League and Champions League fixtures, having ambitions to challenge for both trophies.
Despite the progression of the Gunners under the Spaniard, the form of several of their players has led to interest in their signature from bigger European clubs.

Marcus Rashford signing for Barcelona during the winter transfer window would have allegedly not gone down well with the first-team squad.
The future of the Manchester United forward was a hot topic for debate throughout the winter transfer window until he signed on loan for Aston Villa.
Rashford's switch to the West Midlands came after weeks of reports indicating that a transfer to a foreign club was deem more likely.
Barcelona were said to be in the running for the England international until finances ultimately played their part in an approach being scrapped.
Chelsea defender Disasi reveals reasons for snubbing Spurs for Aston Villa

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has revealed that he wanted to join Aston Villa 'straight after hanging up the phone' to Unai Emery.
Late on deadline day for the winter transfer window, it was confirmed that Chelsea had allowed the France international to move to the West Midlands outfit on a loan deal for the rest of the season.
Despite having made 15 starts and two substitute outings for Chelsea in all competitions during 2024-25, the decision was made for Disasi to go elsewhere.
At the time, there was constant speculation regarding Tottenham Hotspur attempting to hijack any deal as they bid to strengthen their own defensive options.
"He never complained": Maresca comments on professionalism of Chelsea departee

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has revealed that Joao Felix "never complained" about his lack of minutes despite ultimately joining AC Milan on loan.
Felix returned to Stamford Bridge during the summer in a £46.3m deal, there being potential for the Portugal international to hold down a regular starting spot.
Despite scoring seven times in all competitions, Felix was restricted to just 364 minutes in the Premier League, making just three starts.
As a result, the 25-year-old has been allowed to link up with Milan on a loan deal for the remainder of the campaign without Chelsea acquiring a replacement.
'An essential signing': Gonzalez compared to Rice, City's transfer business assessed
![SM-EK Gonzalez composite SM-EK Gonzalez composite](https://sm.imgix.net/25/06/SM%20-%20Nico%20Gonzalez.png?w=640&h=480&auto=compress,format&fit=clip)
Manchester City expert Steven McInerney from Esteemed Kompany believes that the signing of Nico Gonzalez is an "essential" one to address Pep Guardiola's "clear" weaknesses in his midfield.
The Citizens confirmed the signing of Gonzalez from Porto for a reported £50m on transfer deadline day, with the 23-year-old penning a four-and-a-half-year deal to keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2029.
The fact that it took Man City until the final day of the transfer window to recruit any kind of reinforcement in the midfield area, where their struggles have been well-documented ever since Ballon d'Or winner Rodri suffered a season-ending knee injury back in September, is perhaps one of the biggest surprises of Man City's window.
Could the prolific Obi Martin solve Man United's goalscoring issues?
![Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim in November 2024. Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim in November 2024.](https://sm.imgix.net/24/48/ruben-amorim.jpg?w=640&h=480&auto=compress,format&fit=clip)
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has suggested that Chido Obi Martin is not close to making his first-team debut for the Red Devils despite his excellent form since arriving at Old Trafford.
Obi Martin had an incredible 2023-24 campaign for Arsenal Under-18s, scoring 32 goals in 18 appearances, including 28 goals in his final nine appearances of the campaign, but he decided against penning a new deal with the Gunners in order to join Man United.
The 17-year-old has nine goals in 10 appearances for Man United at Under-18s and Under-21s level this term, including five goals in six outings in the Under-18s Premier League.
Due to the team's failure to sign a new striker in January, and the current struggles of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, Amorim was asked during his press conference on Thursday whether Obi Martin was close to being involved with the first team.
