Enner Valencia likens "spectacular" West Ham fans to South Americans

West Ham United's Ecuador international Enner Valencia praises the club's "spectacular" fans.

West Ham United striker Enner Valencia has revealed that he has settled in perfectly at his new club, praising the "spectacular" fans for their support.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a good start to life with the Hammers, striking up a partnership with Diafra Sakho, the pair notching seven Premier League goals between them.

The Ecuador international is aware that life at West Ham is not always as easy, however.

"They have told me that it is not always like this, but that is where we are," he told the London Evening Standard. "The objective we have is to keep on going up, right until the end of the league.

"The fans are spectacular. They are always supporting. You are away from home and you feel like you're at home, and for a player that is really good.

"The supporters in South America sing a lot more, they are always singing. But the West Ham fans are a bit South American. There is always one song here, another there, they are always singing."

Sam Allardyce's side travel to Stoke City in the Premier League this afternoon.
