Cardiff City beat Wolves to go eight points clear at the top

Wolverhampton Wanderers fail to win for the 12th consecutive match, as Championship leaders Cardiff City record a 2-1 victory at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers remain in the Championship relegation zone after failing to record a win for the 12th consecutive match.

Dean Saunders's men were beaten 2-1 at home by Cardiff City, who extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

Fraizer Campbell struck a goal in each half to put the Welsh side in a comfortable position, before Bakary Sako headed home to set up a dramatic finish with his ninth goal of the season.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was agonisingly close to rescuing a point for Wolves in stoppage time, but he shot over from close range and Cardiff held on to pile more misery on the Molineux faithful.
