AC Milan have reportedly made contact with the representatives of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
The Croatia international is regarded as an important member of Simone Inzaghi's squad, making a total of 34 starts in Serie A and the Champions League this campaign.
With the 33-year-old's contract not due to expire until 2023, Inter remain in a strong position to retain the services of the versatile wideman.
Nevertheless, according to journalist Rudy Galetti, AC Milan are attempting to pull off the surprise acquisition of a player from their rivals.
As it stands, a deal looks unlikely unless AC Milan are prepared to pay over the odds for a player who is now regarded as a veteran.
Perisic also has a strong affinity to Inter having represented them since 2015, helping I Nerazzurri to the top-flight crown in 2020-21.
