Jonathan de Guzman says that Swansea City are capable of knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup when the two sides meet on Sunday.

Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has revealed his excitement as he prepares to make his FA Cup debut.

The Swans host Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium in the third round of the competition on Sunday, with the Welsh outfit looking to add to their run to semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.

Despite his respect for Arsenal, De Guzman firmly believes that Swansea are capable of upsetting the Gunners.

"It's very exciting for me to be involved in the FA Cup for the first time and it could not have been against many bigger teams than Arsenal," said De Guzman. "It's a famous competition and everyone is glued to the TV at this time of year and everyone is excited.

"We can take confidence from having beaten them recently. We seem to play better against teams who like to play football because that leaves spaces for us to play our game.

"With us having the home advantage as well, hopefully we can progress."

De Guzman is currently on loan at Swansea from Spanish outfit Villareal.
