Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min goes off injured with a suspected hamstring problem in Sunday's 2-1 North London derby defeat to Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min was forced off after just 19 minutes in the North London derby defeat to Arsenal with a suspected hamstring problem.

The South Korea captain attempted to burst forward early on in the first half during a rare Tottenham attack, but he soon pulled up after his sprint and had to be replaced by Erik Lamela, who scored a rabona before being sent off.

Son was seen clutching his hamstring as he made way in a worrying sign for Spurs, who now face an anxious wait to learn the extent of the 28-year-old's injury ahead of the remaining weeks of the season.

While the length of the attacker's absence is yet to be determined, he is almost certain to miss Thursday's Europa League last-16 second leg with Dinamo Zagreb as well as next Sunday's Premier League battle with Aston Villa.

Son has been one of Tottenham's standout performers this season with 13 goals and nine assists in the Premier League this term, and Jose Mourinho will hope to see his star attacker back sooner rather than later.

After Son left the field at the Emirates, Lamela's rabona was cancelled out by goals from Martin Odegaard and Alexandre Lacazette as Arsenal secured a 2-1 win on their own turf.
