Arsenal have confirmed that defender Gabriel Paulista has left the club to sign for Valencia for an undisclosed fee.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Brazilian was in talks with Valencia in a bid to secure a return to La Liga, where the centre-back has previously represented Villarreal.

While "all regulatory processes" still need to be completed, the Gunners have revealed that they have now parted ways with the 26-year-old.

Neither club have published the fee, but it has previously been claimed that Arsenal will receive £10m for a player they signed for £13.5m in January 2015.

During his time at the Emirates Stadium, Paulista netted once in 64 appearances in all competitions.
