Arsenal reportedly plan to ship out as many as seven players on loan in the January transfer window, including talented striker Folarin Balogun.

Arsenal are reportedly preparing to ship out as many as seven players on loan in the January transfer window.

Mikel Arteta has largely settled on an established core for his side's Premier League games, with fringe and young players restricted to EFL Cup appearances.

The Gunners have seen Eddie Nketiah and Charlie Patino both star in the recent win over Sunderland, but a number of the club's other youth prospects are supposedly set for temporary exits.

According to football.london, Folarin Balogun, Tim Akinola, Zak Swanson, Omar Rekik, Ben Cottrell, James Olayinka and Ryan Alebiosu could all leave the club on loan next month.

Balogun has made fleeting appearances for the first team this term - four in all competitions - but he has mainly turned out for the Under-23 team in the 2021-22 season.

Meanwhile, Patino is thought to be on the radar of Barcelona, while Nketiah is yet to commit to a new deal beyond the summer of 2022.
