Ex-Arsenal defender Liam Chilvers joins Hyde

Liam Chilvers, once on the books at Arsenal, joins Conference North outfit Hyde on a free transfer.

Ex-Arsenal defender Liam Chilvers has signed for Hyde following his release from Port Vale this summer.

The 32-year-old, who was a member of the Arsenal youth team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2000, has over 250 league appearances to his name.

The journeyman defender, released by the Gunners in 2004, has since played for Northampton Town, Notts County, Colchester United, Preston North End, and Vale, among other teams.

Hyde were relegated from the Conference Premier last season.
