Gonzalo Higuain: 'Mesut Ozil was a bargain'

Gonzalo Higuain believes that Arsenal got a good deal when they signed Mesut Ozil for £42.5m.

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has claimed that Arsenal got a great deal when they signed Mesut Ozil.

The German international cost the Gunners over £42m when he joined from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day.

However, Higuain, who played with Ozil at Madrid, believes that the price is a fair one.

"I had the pleasure to play with Mesut and he is one of the best players in the world," Higuain told The Mirror.

"As a striker he is a dream to play with because you know he is going to create you chances.

"When you look at some of the crazy fees that players moved for this summer, you have to say that Mesut was a great deal for Arsenal."

Higuain was also linked with a move to Arsenal before he moved to Italy.
