Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to move for Real Madrid attacker Denis Cheryshev in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old joined Los Blancos in 2002, but has spent the majority of his Real career out on loan and only made his first-team league debut for the club this season.
Following a loan spell at Villarreal, the Russian international returned to his parent club in the summer and had been expected to push for a first-team spot under Rafael Benitez.
Cheryshev has not started a single match for Real Madrid this season, however, and has appeared just twice off the bench in La Liga.
According to Fichajes.net, Wenger is a long-term admirer of the attacker and is ready to offer him a escape route in the winter window.
The eight-time Russian international recently admitted that he has little communication with Benitez as questions over his long-term future in Madrid continue to grow.
