Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he will not be in the market for a new defender this summer.
The Gunners boss is satisfied that Laurent Koscielny, Calum Chambers, Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker can occupy central defence when called upon.
"Four is enough," the London Evening Standard quotes Wenger as saying. "[Mathieu] Debuchy can play there, [Nacho] Monreal can play there, so you can say we are not out to buy a central defender. And Gabriel will be a great central defender, believe me."
Arsenal have impressed in the second half of the season and could record their most successful campaign in a decade if they close down a three-point gap in their final four games to finish second in the Premier League.
The North London outfit have won nine of their last 10 games in the league.
