Gabriel Agbonlahor has revealed his excitement ahead of Christian Benteke's return to the Aston Villa squad.
Benteke recently started training again following a lengthy absence due to an Achilles injury, and Agbonlahor is eager to see the Belgian back in action, despite being in direct competition with him for a place in attack.
"It's a manager's choice," the 27-year-old told the Birmingham Mail. "Whatever he sees as the best way forward as a team, he will decide.
"Christian is a massive player for the club. He's been out with an horrendous injury. He won't be rushing back because it's an injury you have to be careful with.
"As soon as he's ready to come back we will be stronger, he's a great player and he adds a lot to the team."
Villa boss Paul Lambert revealed earlier this week that Benteke was "not too far" away from a return.
