Aston Villa boss Remi Garde reveals Gokhan Inler interest

Remi Garde refuses to rule out the possibility of him bolstering his Aston Villa squad by signing Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler next month.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has conceded that he has an interest in Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler.

The Swiss midfielder joined the Foxes in the summer, but recent speculation has suggested that he could depart the King Power Stadium next month in search of regular starting action ahead of the European Championships.

When asked by reporters about the 31-year-old, who has made just two Premier League starts this season, Garde replied: "I'm aware of this situation because I've looked at all the players who could be interested in this situation because of the Euros. I don't want to say to you where he is on my list.

"Of course, every player who will play Euros I am interested in because they are good players. It doesn't mean they will come or that I have already called them. But I know him very well."

Yesterday, Garde also admitted that "a few" players are likely to leave Villa Park over the coming weeks.
