Half-Time Report: Atletico Madrid being held by lowly Granada

Atletico Madrid and Granada are unable to find a way through in a goalless opening 45 minutes at Los Carmenes.

Atletico Madrid are on course to pick up the point needed to claim third place in La Liga, having gone into half time against strugglers Granada locked at 0-0.

Both sides cancelled each other out in the opening quarter of the game, with chances proving to be limited at either end.

Antoine Griezmann, tasked with leading a somewhat depleted Atletico line this evening, managed to cut inside from the left before firing away the first shot of note, which sailed wide of the target.

Granada looked liveliest when Piti found himself on the ball but, other than a cross which went right through the box, the forward was unable to break the deadlock in a goalless opening 45 minutes.
