Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has hinted that he is confident of signing Atletico Madrid forward Alessio Cerci in January.
The Italian only joined Atletico from Torino in the summer, but has struggled to make his mark in Spain.
It is believed that Cerci is keen on a return to Italy, and Mancini has said that Inter's "chances of buying him are high".
"Cerci is having trouble in Madrid, he isn't playing, but maybe Atletico picked him up because they have a project around him," Mancini told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The chances of buying him are high, we have been following the player for a while, but we say this cautiously."
Cerci has scored just once for Atletico this season.
