Javi Martinez: Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona is "50/50"

Javi Martinez says that it is too tough to select a favourite ahead of Bayern Munich's meeting with Barcelona.

Spanish midfielder Javi Martinez has insisted that there is very little to choose between his club Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

The two teams are due to meet at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening for the opening leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

Looking ahead to that clash, former Athletic Bilbao player Martinez has admitted that he is expecting a close contest to be played out.

"Everybody is looking forward to the game. I have faced Barcelona a couple of times and often tasted defeat. But now I am at a different club and we will not play for the draw tomorrow. I rate the tie as 50/50," he told reporters.

Both Bayern and Barca are top of their respective domestic leagues.
