Oscar Garcia vows to bring attacking, possession football to Brighton.

Former Barcelona youth coach and new Brighton & Hove Albion manager Oscar Garcia has vowed to play attacking football at the Amex this season.

Garcia, who replaced Gus Poyet as manager on Wednesday, said that he is impressed with the current set-up at the Sussex club and is looking for his men to play the Barcelona way.

"I'm impressed with the people I'm working with at Brighton and I'm very happy, it's a pleasure for me to be here," Garcia told PA Sport. "In the morning I met all the players and I saw a lot of good things. I knew English football and I knew some players who are playing here.

"My obsession is to attack, to attack the opposition, to keep the ball and to have the ball as many times as possible. If we have the ball we will have many chances to score and win the game. That's my philosophy.

"If you play good football you will have more chances to win than if you play bad."

Garcia's previous role was as coach of Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv.
