Newcastle United striker Ivan Toney has completed a 28-day loan move to League One outfit Barnsley.
The 19-year-old joined the Magpies in the summer from Northampton Town, but has made just three substitute appearances for the club this season.
As a result, Steve McClaren has allowed Toney to join the Tykes to gain further first-team experience.
Barnsley manager Lee Johnson told the club's official website: "Ivan is quick and he's a goal-threat. He's just what we need in the final third and he's very highly thought of at Newcastle.
"I'm really pleased Steve McClaren and Newcastle have allowed us to take Ivan on board.
"He has lots of different attributes in his locker and can score different types of goals. We're all excited to have him in the dressing room because he can add that bit of quality in the final third."
Barnsley are 22nd in League One after 16 matches this season.
