Thierry Henry: 'Pep Guardiola will manage in England'

Ex-Arsenal striker Thierry Henry believes that his old Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola will manage in the Premier League one day.

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has claimed that his old Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola will manage in the Premier League in the future.

The Spanish coach, who is currently in charge of Bayern Munich, has been repeatedly linked with the manager's job at Manchester City, while it is also thought that Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring him.

Henry, who played under Guardiola at Barcelona from 2008 until 2010, is confident that the 44-year-old will challenge himself in England one day.

"I think eventually he will come," the Frenchman told Sky Sports News. "He's a competitor; he will want to win a title in every league possible.

"It will suit him, being here in the Premier League. He's a great guy, [and has a] great view of the game. He's one or two steps ahead, he's in control of everything, the way he loves the game is second to none.

"He is one of the best managers I've ever had. One thing that strikes me with him that you don't see, he's one of those guys who's very demanding and [the] discipline that he has is on point. You need that amount of discipline to perform on and off the field."

Guardiola won 14 trophies at Barcelona, including two Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles, while he has led Bayern to successive Bundesliga titles during his two years in charge.
