Jupp Heynckes has hinted that he may delay retirement once he leaves Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Jupp Heynckes has dropped a hint that he may coach elsewhere after leading Bayern Munich to a Champions League trophy.

THe 68-year-old coach will be replaced at the Allianz Arena by Pep Guardiola next season and was widely expected to call time on a highly distinguished manageral career.

However, after the 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, Heynckes indicated that retirement may not be the next step for him.

"The decision on what I will do after the cup match was already taken last June," Heynckes told reporters.

"Retire? No, you will learn that after the cup final."

A win over Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final next Saturday will complete a historic treble for the Bundesliga giants.
