Team News: Thomas Muller named on Bayern Munich bench for Stuttgart test

Robert Lewandowski replaces Thomas Muller in the Bayern Munich attack for the Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart.

Thomas Muller has been named on the bench for Bayern Munich's Bundesliga meeting with Stuttgart.

Robert Lewandowski is back in the side to lead the attack with support from Arjen Robben and Mario Gotze, which means there is no room in the team for Muller.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has handed a start to Dante in the absence of Jerome Boateng, who is suspended following his red card in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Schalke.

Vedad Ibisevic is given a recall by Stuttgart head coach Huub Stevens, and he looks set to provide the home side's main attacking threat alongside Martin Harnik.

That is the only change to the side which played out a goalless draw with FC Koln in midweek as the hosts look to pull further clear of the relegation zone.

Stuttgart: Ulreich, Schwaab, Baumgartl, Niedermeier, Hlousek, Romeu, Klein, Leitner, Gentner, Harnik, Ibisevic

Bayern: Neuer, Alonso, Dante, Benatia, Bernat, Gotze, Alaba, Weiser, Schweinsteiger, Lewandowski, Robben
