Axel Witsel: 'Belgium squad trusts Eden Hazard'

Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel claims that the squad is fully behind Eden Hazard to come good at the World Cup.

Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel has claimed that the squad backs Eden Hazard to come good at the World Cup.

The Chelsea playmaker has struggled to replicate his club form out in Brazil, leading to doubts over his contribution from coach Marc Wilmots.

However, Witsel insists that the 23-year-old remains an integral part of what the Red Devils are trying to achieve at the tournament.

"We all trust in Eden. Everyone knows his great qualities," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"He wants to make a difference all the time and I'm sure we will see the great Eden Hazard. He can still be decisive."

Belgium return to action tonight when they play the USA in the last 16.
