Blackburn Rovers snap up Tony Watt on loan from Charlton Athletic

Former Celtic forward Tony Watt leaves Charlton Athletic to join Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.

Blackburn Rovers have completed the loan signing of Tony Watt from fellow Championship side Charlton Athletic.

The former Celtic frontman has moved to Lancashire for the rest of the season and Blackburn have the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

Watt has starred for Charlton at certain times this season, but he failed to keep his place in the team and was sent out on loan to Cardiff City for a brief stint in November.

The Scot, who will wear the No.8 shirt for Blackburn, has not yet found out if the move has gone through in time for him to play in tomorrow's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Oxford United.
