Derby County head coach Steve McClaren has suggested that the club will look to cancel Leon Best's season-long loan deal in the near future.
The striker joined the Rams from Blackburn Rovers in the summer, but he has started just three matches since then.
The arrival of Darren Bent from Aston Villa is believed to have pushed the 28-year-old even further down the striking pecking order, which McClaren has conceded may lead to an early Pride Park exit.
"We will have to have a look at the situation. He has not had many chances and has not really taken them when he's had them, but his attitude has been great," McClaren told BBC Radio Derby.
Best is yet to find the net in any of his 20 outings this season.
