Jurgen Klopp delighted for Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp praises Henrikh Mkhitaryan for his performance and goal in the 3-0 victory over Schalke 04 at Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has reserved praise for Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the Armenian attacker helped his side claim a 3-0 victory over Schalke 04 in the Ruhr derby.

After coming in for criticism during Dortmund's struggles in the Bundesliga this season, Mkhitaryan enjoyed one of his better days for the club by scoring his first league goal, and Klopp was quick to recognise his contribution after the hosts climbed into the top half of the table.

"[It's] a fantastic afternoon for us. We worked for the deserved result," Klopp told reporters. "The best celebration was for Henrikh today. Everyone wanted to jump on top of him. He had an unbelievable game.

"It was the best game he has had for Borussia Dortmund."

Dortmund have won their last four league games and are now eight points outside the Champions League qualifying spots.
