Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has claimed that new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will give the German side a lot more options in attack next season.
The Gabon international joined the Champions League runners-up from Saint-Etienne on Thursday on a five-year deal.
"Pierre-Emerick will give us a lot of options in attack and can operate in different positions," Zorc told the club's official website.
"He can play on both wings, even up front. He's made fantastic progress in the last two years, racked up a lot of goals and assists in the French league and for Gabon's national team.
"He signed a five-year contract. Our fans will enjoy him. To be a threat in front of goal is important, but not the only criteria for an attacking player. He's fast, tall and strong. He will give us more options and flexibility in attack."
Aubameyang scored 41 goals in 96 appearances for Saint-Etienne.
