Ian Holloway: 'Glenn Murray is a clever signing'

Former Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway praises Bournemouth's signing of Glenn Murray from the Eagles.

Former Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has said that Bournemouth have made a "fantastic signing" in Glenn Murray.

The 31-year-old striker completed his move from the Eagles to Dean Court earlier for £4m, signing a three-year deal.

Holloway, who worked alongside Murray at Selhurst Park, is confident that the frontman will be a success with the Cherries.

"I think it's a fantastic signing, it's a great move for Glenn," Holloway told Sky Sports News.

"He's a proven goalscorer, he links play so well. I never realised he was as good as I found him to be and I'm delighted for him, I think it's a really clever signing."

Murray scored 47 goals in 125 appearances for Palace in all competitions after joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2011.
