Pep Guardiola keen on Brazil job?

A Brazilian newspaper publishes a conversation between its editor and a contact that says Pep Guardiola is willing to end his one-year sabbatical to become Brazil's national manager.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in taking the now-vacant manager's post with the Brazil national team.

Mano Menezes was relieved of his duties yesterday and, according to Brazilian newspaper Lance, the Selecao position is the only one for which the Spaniard would end his one-year sabbatical early.

The paper published details of a conversation between their editor and a contact close to Pep Guardiola, with the contact insisting that the former Barcelona coach would take the job tomorrow if offered.

The contact is quoted as saying: "The only team in the world that he would start coaching tomorrow is the Seleção. And he would be World Champion with Brazil."

Reports suggested earlier this week that former Barcelona boss Guardiola was ready to become the new Chelsea manager next season.
