Oscar Garcia delighted with Jesse Lingard signing

Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Oscar Garcia admits that he is delighted to secure the services of Manchester United midfielder for the rest of the season.

Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Oscar Garcia believes that he has signed one of England's "most exciting" players after completing a loan deal for Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.

Lingard netted six times during a similar spell with Birmingham City earlier this season, and Garcia has admitted that he is excited to begin working with the 21-year-old.

The 40-year-old told the club's official website: "We are delighted that we have finally secured Jesse until the end of the season. He is one of the most exciting young English players and has already created a lot of interest following his successful loan spell at Birmingham.

"We worked hard to secure a talent who has already shown that he can play at Championship level, and I am very pleased to have added Jesse to our striking options.

"He has an excellent pedigree, having come through the academy at Old Trafford, and there is no doubt that he has a lot of talent and ability. I am really looking forward to working with him."

Lingard joins Brighton with the club currently sitting four points off the playoffs in the Championship table.
