Celtic have registered a slender 1-0 half-time lead over St Mirren in the Scottish Premier League this afternoon.

Kris Commons opened the scoring after just six minutes, collecting a pass from Emilio Izaguirre before firing beyond goalkeeper Marian Kello from 30 yards for his 22nd goal of the season.

The Bhoys spurned two good opportunities to extend their lead toward the end of the half, with new signing Stefan Johansen dragging wide of the mark from a good position, before James Forrest cut inside his marker only to see his power effort well saved by Kello.
