Chelsea's Gary Cahill: 'Wins will change fans' opinions of Rafael Benitez'

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill believes that racking up victories will help interim boss Rafael Benitez win over the supporters.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill believes that interim manager Rafael Benitez is capable of getting the supporters on his side.

The majority of the fans expressed their discontent when the former Liverpool boss was appointed as Roberto Di Matteo's temporary successor last month but Cahill expects the atmosphere to change.

"Everyone wants to win trophies," Cahill told BBC Sport. "If that's the case I'm sure [Benitez] will win people over. The only way you can win people over is by working hard and getting results."

The Premier League outfit are currently in Japan preparing for the Club World Cup semi-final against Monterrey tomorrow.
