Antonio Conte wary of 'dangerous' Chinese Super League

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte describes the money in Chinese football as a "danger" to every club in the world amid speculation linking Oscar with a move to Shanghai SIPG.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has described the money available in Chinese football as a "danger" to every club in the world.

The Chinese Super League has grown in notoriety over the course of the year, with clubs spending £200m before the beginning of the current season and the transfer record being broken three times in the space of 10 days.

The likes of Ramires, Jackson Martinez, Alex Teixeira and Hulk have made big-money moves to China, and Chelsea midfielder Oscar is understood to be nearing a £60m switch to Shanghai SIPG, where he will reportedly earn £400,000 a week.

Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez has been linked with an even more lucrative move, while Barcelona star Lionel Messi is reported to be the subject of a €500m (£420.5m) bid from Hebei China fortune.

"The Chinese market is a danger for all teams in the world, not only for Chelsea," Conte told reporters.

"[The Premier League] is fantastic, a great opportunity [for players], a great honour and we should be very proud we play in this league."

In addition to Oscar, Chelsea pair John Terry and Cesc Fabregas have also been linked with moves to China, where the next transfer window runs from January 1 to February 28.
