Frank Lampard to be given £16.5m deal by Chelsea?

Frank Lampard will reportedly earn £16.5m over the course of a three-year contract if he agrees to leave Derby County for former club Chelsea.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to hand Frank Lampard a deal worth £5.5m per year, which would see him match the terms given to Maurizio Sarri last summer.

Lampard is expected to be named as the replacement for Sarri, who has joined Juventus despite a third-place finish in the Premier League and winning the Europa League.

The 41-year-old - currently in charge of Derby County - has allegedly been offered a three-year contract, with owner Roman Abramovich allegedly assuring the club legend that he will not be sacked before the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Despite his lack of experience, The Sun claims that Lampard is in line to earn £16.5m over the course of his stay at Stamford Bridge.

The report adds that the former England international is due to be in place in his new position by the start of next week.
