Leonid Slutsky to move to Chelsea?

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly keen to bring Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky to the club in some capacity.

Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky has been linked with a dramatic switch to Chelsea as part of a behind-the-scenes shakeup.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich is thought to be taking a more "hands-on approach" in the running of the club following the departure of technical director Michael Emenalo earlier this week.

According to The Sun, the Russian billionaire intends to use the opportunity to orchestrate a change in the way the club is run and has earmarked "some kind" of role for compatriot Slutsky should he be sacked by Hull.

Slutsky moved to England at the start of 2017 with the aim of securing a managerial post and was put up in one of Stamford Bridge's hotels by Abramovich, who also allowed the ex-Russia boss access to the Cobham training centre to watch players and make contacts in the game.

The 46-year-old went on to land the top job with the Tigers over the summer following their relegation to the Premier League, but has endured a bumpy start to his time in the hotseat and the club currently sit a disappointing 20th place in the Championship table.

Abramovich is also thought to be making moves to bring in Chelsea legend Didier Drogba in some capacity following Emenalo's exit.
