Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly plans to become more involved at the club following the departure of technical director Michael Emenalo.
On Monday, it emerged that Emenalo had left his role at Stamford Bridge following talks with Abramovich, who hired the Nigerian in 2007.
Reports have claimed that tension between the technical director and manager Antonio Conte grew following a disappointing transfer window for the club in the summer.
Emenalo and director Marina Granovskaia were in charge of overseeing transfers, but now that the former has left, Abramovich will take a more hands-on approach, according to The Mirror.
The Russian businessman took control of Chelsea in 2003.
