AC Milan reportedly approach former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola about taking over at the San Siro, but Chelsea and Man City are also interested in appointing the Spaniard as their manager.

AC Milan have reportedly made the first move in the Pep Guardiola bidding war by approaching the former Barcelona coach with a view to taking over at the San Siro.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the 41-year-old, who is currently enjoying a 12-month break from management after leaving the Nou Camp this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Milan are very keen to land the Spaniard as a replacement for the under-pressure Massimiliano Allegri ahead of their European rivals.

The Italian outfit already find themselves out of the Serie A title race after just 12 games and have only won one of the opening four Champions League matches this season.

Milan bosses are frustrated with the state of team affairs and will apparently attempt to persuade Guardiola to end his sabbatical as early as January.
