Chelsea defender John Terry is expected to be left out of England's friendly with Italy next week.
England manager Roy Hodgson has decided to rest his entire back four from the European Championships, according to The Sun.
Terry will miss out along with Chelsea teammate Ashley Cole, Joleon Lescott and Glen Johnson.
Frank Lampard will be recalled after missing Euro 2012 through injury.
Hodgson will announce his squad on Friday to play the Azzurri in Berne, Switzerland on Wednesday, August 15.
