Chelsea defender John Terry has denied an FA charge relating to his alleged racial abuse of Queens Park Rangers player Anton Ferdinand.
Terry was charged earlier today, despite being cleared of a racially-aggravated public order by Westminster Magistrates' Court earlier this month.
The England international was quick to deny the charges in a statement on the club's official website.
"John Terry has denied an FA charge announced today (Friday) and will be requesting the opportunity for a personal hearing," read the statement.
Terry had until August 3 to respond, but has wasted no time in making his intentions to appeal known.
