The 19-year-old, who was born in Somalia, spent time on loan at OFI Crete and Blackpool last season.
Chelsea signed Feruz from Celtic in September 2011 for a compensation fee of £300,000.
Feruz has scored two goals in four appearances for Scotland Under-21s.
