Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho rules out Fernando Torres return

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho rubbishes suggestions that Fernando Torres could return to the club before the end of his two-year loan at AC Milan.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has rejected reports that striker Fernando Torres could return to Stamford Bridge before the end of his two-year loan at AC Milan.

It had been suggested that Torres may be searching for a new club prior to the end of his loan because Milan want to cancel their agreement.

However, Mourinho has stated that Torres cannot return to the Premier League club because there is not enough room in the squad.

"That's an impossible picture," Mourinho told reporters. "He's on loan for two seasons at AC Milan. We have no space. We have no space for players in our list either in the Champions League or in the Premier League.

"But I have to say that nobody from AC Milan made contact with us thinking about that possibility."

Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool for a British-record £50m fee in January 2011.
