Chelsea are reportedly lining up a January swoop for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland international is out of contract with BVB next summer, and is likely to move to on, with Bayern Munich favourites to capture the forward.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the Blues are looking to land the 25-year-old for next season, when the transfer window opens.
Despite the interest in Lewandowski, Manchester United were reported to have dropped their pursuit of the striker earlier this week.
